A Few more details in, on the Chaffee County slide. It was on Browns Peak, just north of Huron Peak. The victim

was on snowshoes. Vertical fall of the slide was about 2,400 ft. Victim did not travel far & was wrapped around a

tree. Found by a rescue dog just as it was getting dark. Looks like the slide may have started as a hard slab,

close to a thousand feet above the party of 3. It quickly changed to a wet slab avalanche. Very similar

circumstances to the La Plata accident from back in March.
