When the signals from two or more buried transceivers are closely aligned, preventing flagging or marking features from functioning.
Occasionally, the flagging or marking feature won’t work on a transceiver because there is signal overlap. Each transceiver transmits a signal with a unique cadence and strength. It becomes more difficult for a transceiver to separate these signals when there are three or four victims, or when the victims are close to each other because their signals are more likely to overlap.
