Special Avalanche Bulletins (SAB’s) are impact-based products. These are issued when significant public use is expected and dangerous avalanche conditions exist, but the avalanche conditions do not meet the level necessary to issue an Avalanche Warning. Special Avalanche Bulletins are often issued when especially challenging and dangerous conditions overlap with a busy weekend or holiday. Like Warnings and Watches, this product is also disseminated through various emergency alert systems to inform people who might otherwise not be tuned into the avalanche forecast.
