A function of digital transceivers that blocks the signal from one or more transceivers to allow you to search for others.

If your avalanche transceiver detects multiple transmitting signals, you can block one of the signals to allow you to continue searching for the other one. This is called flagging, signal suppression, or marking. The flagging feature works best if you are about one meter away from the signal that you are attempting to suppress. You can flag multiple signals if there are three or more buried victims.  Signal overlap prevent flagging in some situations, thus alternative search methods should be practiced as well.
