Avalanche Problem Type (or Avalanche Character)

The categorization of avalanches based on their physical attributes, formation environments, and travel management techniques.

Note that you may have avalanche events that involve two or more problem types, such as a loose dry avalanche that, in turn, triggers a persistent slab avalanche.
